Bank of China
Location: City of London
Lift lobby sensors, emergency lighting and panel lighting
Scope of project
The scope of works included the installation of over 100 PIR motion detection sensors within the lift lobby area’s that was run over eleven stories of this iconic building. We also modified the emergency lighting and new fittings were installed where necessary. The illumination of the lift lobby was essential as the ambient lighting was not considered adequate in this area. We also installed LED panel lighting in the communal walkways leading to the administration areas as an upgrade to the existing lighting
Challenges
Good communication was also essential as we designed a safe site area in the sections of the bank that we were working in. The banking staff were diverted into other access points whilst these areas were closed. We devised a programme of works that limited disruption to the building occupants.
