Scope of project

The scope of works for homes included EICR fixed-wire testing and 3-hour emergency light testing.  The programme of work included electrical upgrades and modifications for the mandatory compliance required.  This included an upgrade to the incoming electrical supply, new mains distribution boards and meters. The new lighting installation included emergency lighting and external lighting with motion sensors plus additional small power.

Challenges

It was vitally important that all services are maintained as each care home housed vulnerable people. We communicated the programme of works with the management at Future so to mitigate any disruption to the clients. Temporary power was set-up, so that there was no interruption to the amenities or life-safety systems.
