Scope of project
Due to expansion, Aztec Events moved to a new premises and Redlands were instructed to submit a design and build plan for the power and LED lighting in the position of electrical contractor. We were also responsible for commissioning, client training and final O & M manuals.
New power and LED lighting arrangements have been installed from new to accommodate their 24-hour production services and reduce power consumption and energy bills.
The electrical installation consisted of general small power supplies, lighting installation including controls systems, addressable emergency lighting system, structured IT wiring, fire alarm systems and mains distribution. The project was a complete bespoke design and build job to suit the client’s requirements with motion sensors and contactors switching the large LED start uploads.
Challenges
Redlands had 3 x weeks to complete the programme of works which made it a challenging project.
