Scope of project
In order to get KOKO Camden ready for their big reopening weekend Redlands was awarded the 5-year contract for the PPM Maintenance program for the iconic venue on Camden High Street.
The project required an annual full electrical inspection, annual emergency light testing, annual DB Checks, LV switchboard thermal imaging, PAT testing, temporary generator installation and fixed wire testing.
In order to simulate the intensive power consumption during musical performances we ran power logging tests to emulate the peak demand for power.
Challenges
When working with a heritage building constructed in 1900 certain care has to be exercised, we had to run surface galvanised metal containment throughout as the fabric of the building had to be retained and not damaged.
Working in a fully live building has its challenges and all works had to be programmed with the estates manager which meant communication was key to ensuring this project was delivered on time and with minimal disruptions.
