Scope of project
Based in the centre of Hammersmith in London, Latymer Upper School boasts facilities ranging from a state of the art sports and rowing centre on the banks of the river Thames to historic chapel buildings. All of which need the utmost care and attention whilst carrying out delicate and essential electrical compliance works
Redlands have been carrying out the EICR fixed wire testing and full 3 hour emergency lighting testing to all of the schools’ 10 buildings over a rolling contract.
Challenges
Communication with the client’s director of estates has been essential on this project to ensure minimum downtime for the pupils and staff.
Planned and coordinated electrical isolations and shutdowns were all signed off with the school’s IT staff to ensure all essential equipment was backed up by the UPS system so all users could continue to function without disturbance.
