Scope of project
Redlands had just finished providing the full mechanical, electrical and plumbing services to RD Studios based in Park Royal, West London. The studio now boasts state-of-the-art sustainable technology including rainwater harvesting systems, LED lighting and a solar panel array. Now RD Studios is one of the most sustainable studios in London, thanks to Redlands.
Challenges
Every project has its challenges and working with RD Studios was no exception. We experienced difficulties procuring materials as we undertook this project as lockdown had just been lifted and our usual suppliers hadn’t yet re-opened. After procuring materials, fitting stage rigging 8 meters in the air required scissor lifts which came with their own set of challenges
Building & Fabric Services
The team took requirements from a concept drawing and developed the final design of the whole installation, this negated the need to rely on an outside consultant, streamlining the project and saving on unnecessary costs for the client.
Redlands worked closely with the client from the concept design to the complete fully functional completed project. We had an onsite office with the client project manager and had progress, design, and coordination meetings, each week to ensure the project didn’t have any delays.
