Scope of the Project

The scope of works included the upgrade of existing Category 5 data cabling, with all services feeding back to the main communications rack. In addition, we carried out the installation of small power supplies and new LED lighting within the courtyard building.

Challenges

One of the main challenges of the project was the routing and concealment of the new cabling installation. The client required the cables to be hidden behind the existing timber cladding wherever possible, with visible surface mounted containment kept to an absolute minimum in order to preserve the appearance of the building.

To achieve this, we carefully lifted the external concrete slabs and installed the incoming electrical supply cables beneath ground level before routing them into the courtyard building. Once the installation had been completed, the slabs were fully reinstated to leave a clean and professional finish throughout the area.
